Interior Addict – Barcelona Chair

Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe is famous for a host of modernism designer furniture that has now given way to some truly stunning and memorable styled or replica pieces – not least possibly his most famous offering, the Barcelona Chair which he collaborated on with his long time partner Lilly Reich.

Originally created for a Ibero-American Exposition in 1929 that was held in the stylish city of Barcelona, the chairs that are now available in the style of the Barcelona Chair remain highly sought after pieces that you really can’t go far wrong in choosing.

Designed as a homage to ancient folding chairs of Egypt, the frame of the Barcelona Chair offered by Interior Addict (pictured left) is made of polished, solid stainless steel.  Crafted into the very same iconic geometrical shape of the original Barcelona Chair by Mies Van Der Rohe and his partner Lilly Reich, the Interior Addict homage piece effuses the same style and modernism that made the Barcelona Chair the groundbreaking revolution that it has become.

stunning lines that we all love it for.  Had it not been for this Barcelona Chair, then our homes might still be cluttered up with the large clunky pieces that came before it’s creation in the 1920s.
